Updates of Tremendous Importance

As promised, I have some announcements for those of you who care about that sort of thing:

1) Most notably, I have finally escaped Alliance, Ohio and am in the process of relocating to Columbus. Elizabeth, Justin and I are currently staying at Justin's mother's house in Mt. Vernon while I get things sorted out. Why did I flee northeastern Ohio at such short notice? Well ...

2) I got a job. A real job. Prospects in Columbus are better than Alliance, imagine that, and, starting September 1, I will be a Systems Specialist with the 4-H department of the Ohio State University Extension. Which means I'm doing website stuff for them. It's a great gig, and I'm very excited about it. I'm also very excited about moving to Columbus. It's definitely time for me to get out of the small town and experience city life.

3) Elizabeth's first birthday is tomorrow, Saturday August 5. We have celebrations of various sorts planned throughout the weekend. Although she really doesn't have a clue what's going on. It basically just means Mommy gets cake.

Even though it will take a bit of time until I find my own place and get everything settled, I'm pretty happy with the changes, and I'm spending the next couple of weeks before I start working to getting the blog back on its feet. Probably a new design as well. But you probably knew that was coming.
